In August, I decided to take a short break from blogging. I was only planning to take a few weeks off. Then, I went back to work in person for the first time since March. I quickly realized that interpreting at a middle school during a pandemic is challenging. Because of that, my break from blogging ended up lasting several months.
During that time, I took a break from working on my novels, too. I only wrote for enjoyment and stress relief. For me, that means I wrote one short story and some fanfiction.
Now that I feel like I have my feet under me again, I’ve come back to my blog. I also started working on my young adult Christian novel again a few weeks ago. I’m happy to report that I finished all of the edits I wanted to do. Right now, I’m in the process of proofreading it one last time before submitting it to a publisher.
After I finish that, I plan to focus my attention on my young adult fantasy novel. I finished the first draft over the summer, but I still need to do quite a bit of revising and editing before it will be ready to give to my beta-readers. I’m hoping to work on that quite a bit over Christmas break.
My kitties are all doing well. I took a picture of each of them while writing this post. Here they are:
I haven’t read many books lately, but I have read a lot of fanfiction online that I’ve really enjoyed. In addition to that, I’ve watched a lot of anime. I’m especially enjoying One Piece and the new season of Haikyu. If you’re not familiar with those anime, you can read more about them in the posts linked to each one.
I’d like to remind everyone that if you’re looking for something to read this Christmas, my novella, Her First Noel, is available on Amazon. It’s free if you have Kindle Unlimited.
That’s all the updates I have for today. If you have any recommendations for anime or other shows I could watch, let me know in the comments. And if you enjoyed this post, please subscribe to see more like it.
