*This post contains spoilers for all of the TV shows mentioned.*
Over the years, I’ve watched a lot of different TV shows. From Smallville to I Dream of Jeannie, I’ve watched shows from many different genres. Today, I’d like to share my thoughts about the shows I’m watching that are currently releasing new episodes.
1. NCIS
I have been a fan of NCIS for about twelve year now. My college roommate introduced me to the show, and I’ve kept up with the new episodes ever since. The cast of the show has changed quite a bit since I started watching it. I have liked all three of the female agents a lot, but I must admit I miss Tony and Abby. Their replacements, Torres and Kasie, are good, but I’m not as attached to them as I was to the other two, who had been there since the start of the series.
My favorite thing about the current season of NCIS is that they revealed that Ziva David wasn’t actually dead. They allowed Ziva to come back for a few episodes to give the character a more satisfying way to leave the show. As the agents continue solving crimes, I, for one, will enjoy picturing Tony, Ziva, and their daughter, Tali, happily living in Paris together from now on.
2. Blue Bloods
I’ve been keeping up with Blue Bloods for several years now. There’s just something about the Reagan family that I find compelling. One of the things I like most about the show is that every episode has at least three, usually four, story lines, each following one of the members of the Reagan family as they strive to keep New York City safe. My favorite part of every episode is when the whole family gathers around the table and shares a meal together.
In the current season, I’m enjoying the new dynamic between Jamie and Eddie, now that they’re married. On the other hand, I still miss Linda, Danny’s wife, who died a couple seasons ago. As the only adult at the table who wasn’t involved with putting criminals behind bars, Linda brought a unique perspective and added a lot to the show. Despite that, I’m still finding the show entertaining.
3. My Hero Academia
Every Saturday, I look forward to watching the newest episode of My Hero Academia. If you’re not familiar with the show, you can click here to read more about it from my previous post. Though the current season has not had as much humor as the earlier ones, I’m still enjoying seeing Deku at his internship with Nighteye. The most recent episode was AWESOME! And I’m looking forward to finding out where Deku and his friends will go from here.
4. Haikyu!
The new season of Haikyu!, a volleyball anime you can read more about if you click here, premiered last Friday. Against all odds, the Karasuno High School volleyball team beat Shiratorizawa in the previous season and is headed to the national tournament, along with their rivals, Nekoma. As the team prepares for Nationals this season, Kageyama and Tsukishima are invited to training camps. Not wanting to be left behind, Hinata tries to sneak into one too and ends up becoming the ball boy. I’m excited to see what will happen over the course of the season!
5. Black Clover
Black Clover is a fantasy/adventure anime that releases a new episode every Tuesday. Though this anime can be a bit over the top sometimes, I’ve enjoyed watching Asta become a Magic Knight, despite his lack of magic, and seeing the various friendships develop. In the current arc, the Magic Knights are fighting against powerful foes to protect the Clover Kingdom from destruction. The arc is nearing its climax, and I’m eager to see how it will end and to hopefully learn more about Asta’s five-leaf grimoire.
Those are the five shows I’m watching that are currently releasing new episodes. Technically, I’m also watching One Piece, but my plan is to wait at least a year to watch new episodes so that I can watch the entire Wano arc without having to wait a week for each new episode.
What shows are you keeping up with? Let me know in the comments. If you enjoyed this post, please subscribe to read more like it.
NCIS —- exactly !
Blue Bloods —- love/hate…. I stopped watching it because it made me too emotional. By I love it. But they need Linda.
Maybe the reason I can watch ncis and not blue bloods Is because I watched ncis and i watched it from the beginning plus I did stop watching it for at least a year when Tony left 😁. And oh, when Kate died ! And Ziva left.
Ok I’ve gotten into this a bit too much 😁😁😁
